Inner banks beauty in North Carolina. We have visited 7 more towns and marinas in the last week that are protected from the popular Outer Banks. The Intracoastal Waterway cuts through the two banks.  All full of pretty white homes and picket fences. Life is slow and a little more salty than in the richer towns in South Carolina. A few highlights were the ponies in River Dunes ( these were penned in a pasture but we are still hoping to see some wild horse on the Outer Banks!), a wooden boat shop, a fantastic meal at Spoon River in Belhaven and meeting up with new friends on Magnolia, Blue Willow and Patriot.

On to the Great Dismal Swamp today! Woo hoo! Seriously, it's supposed to be quite pretty.
