Georgia on my mind...Kurt has this song down pat after a lovely week in the peachy towns of Savannah, Darien and Brunswick. The air is cooler but the historic homes, Spanish moss covered oaks and cobblestones were heartwarming.
My new favorite stop on the Loop is now Savannah. We tied up right downtown on the river front at the Hyatt and landed during their Music fest which added an extra layer of fun. We watched high school jazz bands from all over the US compete in an outdoor venue and went to see country/folk rocker Luncinda Williams from Louisiana who put on a great show at the age of 62. I thoroughly enjoyed the Oscar de la Renta gowns on display at SCAD as well. And of course we rode our bikes all over town to enjoy the beautiful parks, shops and rows of gorgeous homes.
We enjoyed docking with the Nina and Pinta replica tall ships twice this week. And I haven't finished eating shrimp or grits! The azaleas are in bloom and the cool mornings have been foggy with soft light.
We have moved up to our 8th state now at Hilton Head, South Carolina and have been on the water for 165 days. The adventure continues to teach us about how the gracious people we meet make all the difference in our lives on the water.
So enjoying the narrative! Looking forward to seeing you soon! xo
